RainbowKids, an adoption advocate, is redesigning their website and part of that redesign is updating country content. South Korea will be highlighted with an article giving a brief overview of the history of adoption and the current process and requirements woven with quotes from the agencies that work in South Korea as well as adoptive parents who have adopted from there. Each country page will also provide a link to Family Stories connected to that country. These family stories are golden when it comes to advocating for children!
We are looking for families who would like to share their stories. The stories can be as short or as long as you like. Some thoughts on what you might want to write about could include: the moments leading up to the first meeting, a chronological account of the adoption process, why you chose South Korea, what your time in country was like, how the transition has been now that you are home. Really, you can write about any topic related to adoption in South Korea. Pictures that accompany the story are also appreciated if you are willing to share.
RainbowKids will also be highlighting adoptions from China in the future and we are very interested in receiving your China adoption stories, too! By submitting your story to AAC, you are giving us permission to share your story and photos with RainbowKids, and on AAC’s blog, website and Facebook page, too.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to share your unique experience and help spread the word about international adoptions!
